4.0L swap into a Dakota

I am in love with my 90 XJ with 4.0 engine. I also happen to think that my 87 Dakota is a neat truck. It would be even neater if I could put an
in-line 4.0L in it. Has anybody tried this or heard of it being done?

It would be easier to stick a Dodge 318 V8 in that truck.
