3 inch lift question

puttin on a three inch lift. my question is do i need longer shocks or can i just move the lower mounting point up and use same legnth shocks and get a little more clearance form under the axle?

Move the mount point up in the rear AND then get new shocks that are the right length (measure, don't rely on what the 4x4 shop says fits right). Leave the front mount points the same unless you want BPE's up top to give you more selection when choosing shocks.
