Hey guys, What is your opinion on snorkels? are they worth the $400 price tag? Or just avoid deep water?
3" and 31's capable for expedition type vehicle?

Thanks! I've thought about just doing a 2" BB for right now, and seeing how I like it, that would replace all the shocks, and I could decide if I want to go higher or not.

I had one on the second XJ I built (probably 10 years ago at least). I regretted getting it as soon as I put it on, even though it was used and only cost $75. I never felt I got any real use out of it and all I got were weird looks and crazy questions about it. I took it off a year later and sold it, so then I had a huge hole in the fender that I had to explain to everyone that asked "what's the hole for?"
YMMV, but unless you're planning on fording 3'+ deep streams I'd spend the money elsewhere and avoid deep water if possible.
