Its on speed channel for a few more hours and then comes back on later tonight. All I have to say is, "Go Audi!!" Those TDI R10's are some seriously sweet cars and a testament to how great diesil technology is. Looks like Puegot finally got their diesil cars up and running (they were originally planning on releasing theirs before Audi released the R10) and those things are blisteringly fast, even faster than the Audi by several seconds a lap. Still, Audi is in the leas so far due to better reliability and consistency.

Interesting note, I'm not certain but it looks like the C6R Vette's are running an E85 derivative race fuel. I'll have to look into that a bit. They are currently in second place with Austin Martin DB9R's in 1st, 3rd, and 4th.

I still want to swap a Passat 1.9TDI into my Jeep.
 
Well apparently nobody cares but here is how it went by class.

LMP1:
1st : Audi R10 TDi (381 laps)
2nd: Puegot 908 HDi (381 laps)
3rd : Puegot 908 HDi (379 laps)
4th : Audi R10 TDi (374 laps)

Looks like the diesel teams are conquering LMP1, the top petrol car was back in 7th with the other two diesel cars taking 5th and 6th (puegot and Audi respectively).

LMP2:
1st: Porsche RS Spyder (354 laps)
2nd: Porsche RS Spyder (347 laps)
3rd: Pescarolo 06-Judd (333 laps)
4th: Lola B05/40-AER (325 laps)

Go Porsche.

GT1:
1st: Aston Martin DBR9 (344 laps)
2nd: Corvette C6.R (344 laps)
3rd: Corvette C6.R (341 laps)
4th: Aston Martin DBR9 (339 laps)

Looks like this was all about Aston and Chevrolet. Chevrolet took both 5th and 6th with the Aston taking 8th and having to retire one of their cars due to engine failure. Saleen took 7th 38 laps down from the two Class leaders and Lamborghini filled in the 9th spot with only 266 laps completed.

GT2:
1st: Ferrari F430 GT (326 laps)
2nd: Ferrari F430 GT (318 laps)
3rd: Ferrari F430 GT (317 laps)
4th: Ferrari F430 GT (312 laps

Looks like Ferrari is the big winner here with Porsche folloowing behind in 5th and 6th. All the other GT2 cars were retired.

I'd say congratulations are in order for Chevrolet, they over all performed better than their rivals at Aston and were the best overall performing American company.

Just to defend my Dutch brethern and their poorly performing Spyker C8's, they were both retired due to engine failure and while the cars are built by the Netherlands based company their engines are sourced from Audi. So on that note, I blame Ze Germans. :D
 
I care, watched it for a while yesterday and for a while last night. Was busy with family obligations todoay so hadn't checked the results. When I checked Speed all I found was Neckcar. Thanks for the rundown. Awesome to see Audi pull it out, last night it seemed like the Pugeot was going to real them back in at 4 seconds a lap.

Yeah I saw that, once the morning came and the track was drying out the Puegot's started to catch up again. Those Puegot cars were crazy fast but that was also their apparent downfall. The drivers were having trouble keeping the cars under control. Looks like Audi will have to step it up a bit if they still want to maintain their dominance at Le Mans.
 
Audi will pull through.. i used to have a 98 A4 and i loved it and everything about Audi. really want another one, if I could.. A S4 with K4 or K04 Turbos or whatever they are..
 
KKK-04 or K04 for short. I was going to buy a B5 chassis S4 w/ the 2.7T engine when i got back from iraq, the only reason I didn't was I decided it might not be so wise to spend all of my money on one car.

Once the baby is born and my girl goes back to work we're going to be looking at getting an A4 for her, I just wish they would bring the diesel A4's to the states.
 
I love the B5 models, once the B6 came out i didnt like em at first, but now i love em as well, B7 is still growing on me.
