You could also just get a tap for the size bolts you want to use. That's what I did. Drill then tap the holes then throw in any bolt you want. Home Depot or otherwise.

I had some on mine with self tappers and bolted to the pinch seam. They did the job but would move on hard hits and did end up denting my rocker slightly in the rear.
They are great for light to moderate use but you should really do stiffeners and weld them on if you plan on using them a lot.

Nutserts may work if you want to go that route... the factory xfer case skid is held on by 3x 8mm nutserts. You can actually install them yourself without the special tool, but it's a PITA. I used a piece of steel with a slightly larger than 8mm hole in it, a long 8mm bolt, a nut, and a washer to insert the ones for my skidplate. (the factory nutserts spun when I went to remove it, so I ground them out and replaced them with heavier ones from Fastenal.) Worst part of the job was grinding the heads off the old bolts but for what you're doing that isn't and issue.

ya nutserts are a PITA. and the reason i bought these is so i will have protection for alittle while until i weld them in. ya ik they are for light to moderate crawling but thats all i really do to be honest. once i put what i have planned on i wil save up until i can do frame stiffners and then weld in rock sliders like kevins. my stock ones have a fat dent in them cause i highclearanced them at slickrock so those will be going soon, i just wanted some protection for now cause idk how long it will be till i can save up for stiffners and good slider material.

they are kind of a PITA, but it's really that or welding, if you want it to be strong. Welding will obviously be stronger, especially if you drill holes, plug weld, and solid weld all the edges.

i will eventually be welding them in. but for my small DD. almost stock rig im gonna go this route.
