My friend just got a job in New Zealand and needs to sell his stock '99 XJ. I'm helping him post a couple ads to gain interest. I know I'm a fairly new member here, but for what it's worth, I've known the owner of this Jeep for over a decade and spent a lot of time in this XJ. (it's the main reason why I got mine.) I can vouch for his honesty and the fact that he took great care of the Jeep.
Important info:
1999 Cherokee Sport
Black with grey interior
231/8.25
AX-15 Manual 5spd
~129,000 miles
Power everything (A/C, windows, locks, etc)
ABS
The Good:
You can see in the pictures, but the paint is glossy and in great shape (except for some light surface rust spots on the roof)
Brand new headgasket and freeze plugs as of two months ago.
New CPS a month ago.
Interior is in immaculate condition.
No accidents.
Tow hitch.
A/C blows cold.
Runs and drives perfect.
The Bad:
The front passenger fender has a dent on it from a palm frond, and there are some nicks on the driver side door. Other than that, typical wear and tear for a '99.
Needs tires.
Tiny dent on the rear bumper.
Front speakers work intermittently, but are currently working.
Front passenger window switch is finicky, but the window always works when using the driver side controls.
Has factory fog lights but they don't currently work.
Asking price is $3,500.
