Hey everyone, I tried to get back into the XJ life after selling my my recent one, but life is saying i really need a beater pickup truck for the day to day.
I have it listed for $3900 on Facebook, so make me an offer based off that asking price. (XJ and MJ prices are wild these days! I should have never sold my other ones)
1996 XJ 4.0L 6 cyl, AW4, 231 4x4, D30, 8.25 rear
172,900 miles. Clean title in my name. Good NJ registration into 2023
Did a bunch of preventative maintenance: done within last 1500 miles:
ALL fluids (coolant, trans, transfer case, engine oil, diffs, power steering, brakes)
New hatch struts,
New Curt front & rear 2inch hitch receivers
New stainless brakelines (all of them!)
New waterpump, idler pulley, belt, thermostat have receipts from shop
New Goodyear tires on Grand Cherokee OEM snowflake rims
Upgraded fatter gauge all engine power & ground wires. New distrib cap, rotor, wires, plugs, 4-hole EV6 injectors
****Has cyl 1 misfire*****, code P0301. Starts and drives fine with zero hesitation or bogging under load. No issues with wanting to stall. Haven't looked into this yet, and dont feel like trying to fix in this cold with my busy schedule. Threw the code after all the maintenance upgrades I did a few months ago, so idk if something went bad since then. No other issues.
Pillar lights & switch controlled reverse LEDs. Have several properly wired switches with relays under the hood for whatever accessories your heart desires.. Bluetooth compatible radio.
Straight body panels, never offroaded. Rust isn't too bad overall. Rockers are shot, but floors and such seem okay. All doors, locks, and windows work fine (hooray for manual everything)
Will include new in box catback exhaust
I'm in no rush to sell. If don't get a decent price I'll just keep it and fix it / go forward with getting it offroad ready.
Will consider trades for a pickup truck and can throw cash on top
