1991 Valve cover replacement

Looking for guidance on a good valve cover replacement. I’m finding some for my era of 4.0 but doesn’t look like grommets are included. Does this year not use the grommets?

Use permetex "right stuff" silicone with no gasket. I use it for pretty much everything except head and exhaust and the only leak I have is seepage from the head gasket.

I use a Fel-Pro gasket. Its blue and about $35-$50. Its a rubber or silicon gasket.

Thats the one I use too. The nice thing is that it has a metal core so it stays in place when you are fitting it.

Yep. Have one on my '88. WAAAYYYY better than cork.

In my experience, a leaking valve cover can contribute to 'Blow-By'. I did 'upgrade' my '98 to a 93-95 ZJ valve cover. It is aluminum and has the later style CCV grommets and fittings.
