I haven't had this long (a few months) but Ive had it long enough to know Im just not an MJ kinda guy and that I need more room in the dry when we are hunting/riding.
Its an 88 model and has 209K on the clock, however the motor/trans were replaced with a 2.5 4 cyl and AX5 transmission from a TJ that had 140k on them. Good running little truck. New 3" Rough Country lift kit, 31" Goodyear Wranglers, Rusty's rear diff cover, toolbox, CD w/ aux hookup, hot heat, no ac, manual doors/locks. Not cut on and hacked up. Also installed new gas tank, fuel pump, filter, etc. Open front/rear. 4x4 works great, shifts in/out smooth. Drives great on the road. No wobble or any of that mess. A donor Wagoneer was used for the interior swap. Also used the front clip obviously, I dig the double headlights. The AX5 does grind some when switching gears at higher speeds but I haven't owned one that doesn't grind a little. The cat rattles a little when its cold but clears out after it warms up.
