14 Bolt Problems?

Me and my buddy got two of these the other day. 180.00 for both. Started the cleaning process and found a couple of things that look kinda weird.

This first pic shows a portion of the tube that kinda necks down then opens back up.

This Pic is from the other axle. It almost looks like the tube has slid out some?

Now, they are different year axles, one has the big drums the other doesn't. Been lookin at the billavista bible and haven't really found my answers.

Haven't seen one like the first pic, but the 2nd pic is how mine look.

That is normal and is just how far down the tube they machine it.

That's normal, no problems.

You mentioned 2 different axles, is the one with the smaller drums a 9.5" 14 bolt with semi-floating axles? If so, that sucks. It will be from a new year and have much more webbing on the case.

Both full floaters. On does have bigger drums than the other though.
