1/31/2010 Fun easy run either pilot rock or Cleghorn

Well it has been quite a while since I participated in a naxja run so I figured Id see if there is any interest in a IE run.

Where: Meet at the mc donalds at the hwy 138/15 freeway interchange, depending on conditions run either pilot rock through to arrowhead (long senic run less obsticles more snow) or cleghorn (harder shorter run likely to be pretty ruff with recent storms) Decision on what we do will be based on least capable rig that shows up!

When: Sunday 1/31/2010 930am

Who: Any one with working 4 wheel drive that wants to get out the house for a while (normally dont care if your 2wd but with the likly wet snowy conditions of either route I do not think 2wd is such a good idea)

REQUIRMENTS: Working 4x4, the usual required equipment for any run posted on naxja

We will be on cb channel 4

hey guys Ted is coming to my place to fix his 4wheel drive saturday, if anyone wants to come by and work on somethin or just hang out I now live in norco, dont have the internet except at the lybrary so best way to get info is to text or call, 9095100894

I'm also a Hmmmmmm. I'll be near I-10 & I-605 Sat night, but have railroading to do thru western LA sometime in the next couple weeks. If I take my Jeep, I might go... I'll text you if I'm going to go...

if you could pick up a drive shaft from danwho and bring it to the run, I could take all the West LA stuff and deliver for you...

I could possibly get the DS from Dan; it can come up regardless of what I drive... you could pick it up on your way thru if you take the 10 or 210... or I can meet you somewhere, or drop it somewhere. The West LA railroading gets a bit complex, and I have to get a couple things & bring them down to SD, too, for me & others, but I appreciate the offer!

We ran Pilot Rock from Cedar Springs Dam to Highway 173.

We laid down first tracks on about half of the trail.

A stock Cherokee had to turn around.

Make sure everyone has front and rear tow points.

cleg has snow & some very deep off-camber stuff right now - pilot rock probably won't be much better - just be careful & have fun - i gotta work or i'd be there

The bypasses on Pilot Rock are more snow free than the main trail. A lot of the graded road is on the north side of the ridge, therefore in the shadow. The bypasses have a lot more exposure to the sun.

well ted has been here all day, weve changed his coolant bottle rewired his fan fixed his front axle and went to the snapon show now were eating lunch and relocating his vaccume bottle. he overheated on the way to my place so hopefull hes good

Bringing a friend (or two). Stock liberty (trail rated :D ) , and a old Suburban with slight lift and tires.

These two will in no way have any effect on your decisions for trails etc. If they can't hang, we will gladly do our own thing as not to hold up anyone else.

I think we got ted fixed up enough to cruze the bypasses as usual even got hsheate orkig now, my dad's friend (newb) in a rubicon is coming and maybe one more newb in a yota, so we will have a fun run

Seems on the way home the temp did beautiful, however sounds like with the frount end being "connected" the transfer case showed its ugly face and sounds like my chain is streched. Excited to try out the 4wd and play on the bypasses lol see y'all. Thur.

Fun run today guys, diverse group of rigs, from a totally stock liberty, and my stocker on 31s, to dan and johns rigs, fun stuff. Nobody broke anything, and it looks like everyone had fun. John thanks again for hooking it up with a sam which and a diet coke u saved the day bro. And thanks to dan for leading the run good stuff. I got to wheel in a little bit of snow for the first time. Over all it was a good day.

peace
ted
