Yakima makes these things called mighty mounts and are shaped in all different styles of racks. I got the one shaped like my Thule rack bars and put a 3 inch carriage bolt through them and then washers and lock washers with a big butterfly bolt to top it off. Have wheeled a lot and has not...
had to cut away at the old bushing on mine and drive a pair of vice grips up there and grabbed onto the sleeve. with a huge breaker bar and cheater on that was able to crank on the bolt out while holding the sleeve with the vice grips. the key was to get a hold of the sleeve at the seam so the...
Every time I go wheeling this noise gets worse and worse. It is a clunk coming from the drivers side front end when the weight shifts forward or back. Like when you tap the brakes at low speeds or start out at a light it happens. I can grab a hold of the sway bar from underneath and shift the...

mine was doing the same thing about 6 months after installing the lift, I just tightened everything that was put on new on the front and it fixed it, that was about 6 months ago and I am hearing it again, going to do the same thing this weekend.
I have a nextel through work and along the major cities and highways they are great, like the radio feature but absolutely nothing outside of metro areas (moab, high uinta mountains) "can you hear me now" NO!!
I'm curios about this one too. which would be better to put a locker in front or rear? also if you were to put one in the front when you are in two wheel drive would the front be "disengaged" so as to save on wear and tear on the locker for the DD.
done deal, I was rolling around under there today installing a t-case skid and was looking at how to remove it. it will definatly be coming out, thanks.
I am putting in my OME leaf packs soon and figure while I have everything apart I should remove the rear sway bar for added flex while out on the trail.
what do you think? Keep it or remove it. it is my daily driver but I have heard that the benifits of removing it outweigh keeping it.
thanks...
I had good luck with rustys over the phone also, called a couple of time just to verify stuff and always got through and then got my order right when they said I would.
