Another PITA thing with this forum.

It happened again just now with only spending around 5 minutes of typing a reply. The message said something like this is not permitted, refresh the page and login again. WTF? I'm just about at the point where i give up on this forum.

Cherokee XJ air bag light on

All indications is that it sounds like a clock spring issue. I'd see if you could get a new one if possible then follow installation instructions. Then take it from there.

Clunking when turning left and going over bumps

After all you replaced, i'd 2nd control arm bushings. Don't overlook a bad shock bottoming out. Make sure the track bar's mounting bolt holes are not worn oblong.

Another PITA thing with this forum.

Don't know if this is also related to paid members only but its frustrating and extremely annoying when typing a longer post then go to 'preview' and you have to login-in again. What is that all about? I fully realize paid members need some perks but this is basic forum stuff and shouldn't...

    2001 XJ won't stay running

A coincidence this all happened after replacing the alternator? Might of disturbed a connector or wiring during the alternator replacement. Two sensors you didn't mention changing was the Throttle Position and MAP sensors. The TPS is easy to change if the the two mounting screws aren't...

2001 XJ Cylinder Head Lifters Cam Shaft

I'd say it could depend on how many miles the engine has on it which could be one factor in your decision. I'm a strong believer in Preventative Maintenance so i would probably go ahead and change the lifters while its easy to do during the head replacement. And the push rods too. Not sure if...

Ohc, cargo light, radio problem, mystery fuse box!

I remember a post years ago someplace where that rke circuit board fried for some reason causing a fire in a XJ and i think totaling it. That circuit board always has battery voltage on it for on demand keyless entry. Be careful.

How do you edit fresh posts?

Once my posts have been submitted, i see no 'Edit' or similar icon. Far as i can tell there is no way to edit a submitted post even in the above time line unless i'm missing something.

Ohc, cargo light, radio problem, mystery fuse box!

Thanks for the update. But what is rke? So the wires from the 12 Volt power were fried?

If you admins, get this site up to date with other forums such as downloading pics from a PC, editing posts and fix other bugs maybe this site would fare a little better. And admins, mods....answer questions for the newbies here who have issues with this site. Seems like this forum's maintenance...

    having overheating issues. 94

Seems to me there's something going on with the head;a block coolant passage blockage or other. Why were all the coolant hoses leaking with the original head? Tightening the coolant clamps and replacing the head could of been masking a more serious issue. Or the replacement head had some kind...

When to call it a day?

It would be a real sad day to watch my xj taken off to the boneyard. In someways about as bad as having a favorite 'best friend' dog put down. After 20 years, spending tons of money on it to keep it going and numerous cuts, scares and bruises i just can't part with my xj. As problems arise, i...

Ohc, cargo light, radio problem, mystery fuse box!

If your '95 has an unlock/lock door remote and other features, there's a circuit board somewhere in the OHC which could of fried which could be worst case. If it does have a remote, does that still work? Hopefully there's a blown fuse somewhere especially if the smell of burning wires stopped...

    having overheating issues. 94

You already verified the efan turns on when its supposed to but have you checked the actual engine temperature with an infrared temperature gun to verify the actual engine temperature is what the cluster temperature gauge indicates? If lucky, maybe a bad temperature sensor. Another remote...
