Found one on eBay. It has gears with it, but I'll sell those when they get here. That beats trying to find one at a JY since the closest is about an hour away.
Yeah, it's a 97+ 29 spline.. I have a disc kit already.. but now I'm going to have to look and see what junk yards around here have for that carrier. I didn't know that other Jeeps had it as well.
Picked up a Spartan Locker as a part of my XJ regear. But I have the LSD in the rear. You have to have a completely open carrier. Yukon has one for over $300 and G/2 has discontinued theirs.
Since it's the 29 spline and not the 27 I have a feeling my options are severely limited. Anyone have...
I think it was user error.. When I took the T-handle back off I could shift it flawlessly with the white button on top, so that piece is fine. When I put the handle back on, I used a small sledge hammer to pound it down. Now it shifts much, much better.. hahaha :)
Learning lesson for next time you do anything like that, buy some white electrical tape and write with sharpie letters on each side. That way it's much, much easier and takes about 30 seconds to reassemble! :)
Screw Jeep Forum, NAXJA for the win.. haha I'll work on those ideas tonight. I thought it was back on properly, but I should have thought to take that off and try without and then fix the issue.
So I tried searching and can't seem to find the problem I'm having. I tore out the interior of this Jeep, but didn't touch anything to do with the shifter or transmission. When I put the console back together after cleaning it, it won't shift from reverse into Park, or down into 1-2 on its own...
At first I thought this was going to be something like my $150 Jeep build thread, but damn. Those are a lot of awesome finds. Easy way to fund a new build.
So I swapped out the stock D35 for a 8.25, at the same time I put in an IRO 5.5" lift kit. When I went to line everything up, there's very little play in the driveshaft. I know the 8.8 is longer than the 35, but with the lift, I assumed it would work out in my favor. Seems like the play is only...
So while putting in the IRO 5.5 kit this last weekend, I realized there is zero skid plate options to protect my TC. First thing I did was check IRO's page to see if they had a plate that worked w/ their long arm setups.. Nothing.
So since the new long arms are bolted to the cross member, I now...
Where did you get the adapters for the output/input of the AC unit?
Also, did you tear out the AC piece (the condenser I think?) that is inside the passenger side? Or just leave it there?
Insulting people because you whined about not getting a reply in 24 hours won't get you help any faster, if anything it's just going to make people avoid replying.
A little courtesy goes a long way.
