OK. It's official. New car, the XJ has to go. I'll list it on CL here in SoCal this week. Speak up if you are interested. Truly, if I had the space I'd keep it as it runs good. If I had to drive it cross country tomorrow, I'd have no reason to sweat it.

My 88 XJ will open 3 out of 4 door locks with the remote fob. Same when I use the door lock switch from inside. Just cannot get the only one I use, the passenger door right behind the driver, to work without having to reach in and unlock by hand. Any idea where to start/what might be keeping...

Yep. That would help me too. Any idea what you paid for all 4 window seals and all 4 "whiskers" at the bottom? Get them from a dealer? Online aftermarket?

Mine are power, not manual. The windows barely move at all. Many times they will go down, and I have to pull the glass back up by hand. The rears have not been down in....10 years or more? But man, it's hot in there (in CA) till the AC gets going...

Hmmm. The tech told me the battery was holding at 11V. Maybe it was while it was running? Not sure. I'll follow up.

I was told the battery has 11V now. But, it starts the XJ just fine. Never dragged on the key start or left me stranded.
