On my 92, I completely bypassed the ABS module. I did not want anything to do with it and just plumbed new brake lines bypassing it with no issues encountered at all.
I would also avoid using too much sandpaper to clean up the inside of the bushing area. You take too much meat off of that, then you'll have issues with your bushing not staying in place. A little clean up is ok, but don't go buck wild trying to make it perfectly smooth in there.
I wasn't worried about the warranty, I was trying to get one in before they were discontinued so it didn't bother me. Of course they are all over the junkyards as well.
Yes they are available on Rockauto.com. I actually purchased a spare that I keep in my RV for our off-road trips should mine go bad. I too was worried about key parts being discontinued like this which is why I purchased a spare about a year ago.
Hope this helps...
Bad mechanics are like any other profession.... you get the good detail oriented folks, and then you have a few bad apples that don't do good work or flat out don't care unless the job is paying well.
Glad you got this all worked out Anak.
Alternatively, if you're viewing a pic on another site or program, you can right click it and copy it... then while creating a post here on Naxja, you can simply paste the picture into your post. I like this way much better!!!
