Thanks for the input, the jeep did get a new battery when troubleshooting the problem, it was 5 years old and suspect anyways, but no change. The jeep has been maintained within in an inch of it's life. New spark plugs every 30K miles, all fluids flushed every 30K with oil changes every 5K...

I am at a complet and total loss and my mechanic has even given up asking I take the jeep somewhere else. I am the original owner, with 145,xxx miles and every morning and evening when I start it, she fires right up then stumbles and dies. It takes anywhere from 3-6 tries to get her to stay...

LOL i have yet to see a rig on 33's make it without LOTS of winching, many broken parts and tons of body damage. Fatwreck and his crew of XJ's on 35's ran that cleaner than ANY other group of comperably equiped rigs i've seen and that's due to the fact he and his buddy chris are TOP NOTCH...

Well put the rear up in the air spun the tires...Sweet some A$$ clown from the board sold me an xj 8.25 with 3.55's yet posted it as 3.73's, told me via email it was 3.73's and then told my dad in person when he picked it up it was 3.73's So now i've dumped $350 into a TJ dana 30 a year ago...

well i'm going to jack it up tonight and "eyeball" it by spinning the tire one full revolution and measuring how many times the driveshaft turns....sounds like it's the wrong ratio though :mad:

Interesting....well here's the reason i ask. I put the xj in 4wd the other day and it took FOREVER to get it to come back out. Multiple stop, back up, go forward, neutral, do it all over again and after about 20 minutes of this game driving around town, it finally came out. Besides that...

hey what happened to your rolled XJ, i'd be interested in buying it if you work out a deal with insurance to keep it, figure it all out and shoot me a price for what you'd want...might be to your advantage to have em total, you keep the rig, and sell it to me vs having them take the rig. Wally
