    98 trans fit 96 cherokee??? couple questions

    So I bought a parts jeep. A 98 cherokee. I want to strip the trans and axles out, buy a new TCase (they sold that part and the interior seats), and transfer them to my 96 Cherokee. Both are i6 4.0L engines. The 98 trans should bolt right up, correct? I just need the harness and shifter, etc...

    Does anyone have a pictoral type guide to removing the head on a 96 XJ? That may make it a lot easier for me to feel comfortable doing it, as it is really intimidating trying to do it with the Haynes manual.

    3" lift, now Rear Transmission Seal leaks?

    I finally got the 3" RC lift on my 96 2wd Cherokee. However, now the rear transmission seal where the driveshaft connects at the tranny is leaking! And I have a bit of vibration at idle. What can be done about this? Do I need to do a drop on the crossmember like a TC Drop on a 4x4?
