I've always wondered about blending something like an explorer rear hatch with an XJ hatch to get the openable glass hatch function. I'm no where skilled enough to pull it off though.
Looks like Rockauto carries mopar ones for $89, at least for a 2001 xj.

Neighbor has one across the street from me, seems to have been sitting for a long time. The hitch has rusted and fallen off it has been sitting so long. It does have a factory external spare tire holder on it and looks to be a 97 due to the blue SPORT decals on the fenders.
Which shop did you go to? *pm me if you don't want to publicly name* I'm just curious. There are a few shops around here I can personally recommend as I've personally delt with them for years.
I looked into using the WJ clock spring when I put an overland wheel in mine. The WJ clock spring is physically to big to fit in the XJ clockspring spot. Rumor is that a ZJ with radio buttons clock spring will physically fit but the connectors will need changed.
Where does the temp sensor the fan controller get installed? I love the idea of this but have always heard that for daily driving a triple fan set (really a dual fan with the a/c fan) isn't sufficient to handle stop and go traffic/sitting.
Has anyone considered using the earlier coil pack? It has the plug leads facing forward off the coils. The plug is totally different then the jeep plug but since there's an adapter/extender there's no reason you couldn't use the different plug. Does anyone have the data sheet for the viper coil...
