    Did the retaining clips come out in pieces? Did you get every bit removed? As far as oily parts in the house... maybe clean the parts first?

    A buddy of mine had an extra valve cover gasket laying around for the 96 XJ he no longer owns, so he gave it to me. Part number VS 50458 R Will this work on my 89 XJ, or should I just throw it on the shelf and get the proper one?

    Wiper Bushings Bad? (with photo)

    I had a very similar issue. I popped the cowl cover and found that two of the three wiper motor mounting bolts broke and the third was backing out. When the wiper got farther into its stroke, it would stop and the motor would move. Quick fix. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
