    Torque the last Headbolt!

How?! Stupid 4.0 straight six... stupid sheet metal lip on the firewall. Am I missing something... I need a deep socket to fit the headbolt, but I don't have enough room to fit the deep socket and torque wrench. Is my engine misaligned, because the sheet metal lip on the firewall is impeding...

    Replacing Cylinder Head

Ordered the cylhead through Clearwater Cylinder Head Inc, 300$ shipped I ordered a rebuilt 0331, delivered in 3 days. I just went out an inspected the head and it doesn't look like it's had any previous cracks patched up. I thought about the 0631, but the custom DI mount and replacement header...

    Replacing Cylinder Head

Thanks. I'll try to pick up a new set of headbolts if they have them because I'm not sure if they have ever been replaced. I'll look for the paint mark but that's trusting the fact that a previous mechanic marked them. Do exhaust manifolds usually crack? That would suck. If that's true, I could...

    A/C compressor Clutch info???

Anyone have info or source on the clutch/clutch coil on the Sanden compressor (709t, model 4784). My compressor works fine, system is charged and works, but as soon as the coil gets hot, it quits. Finding a replacement is being an SOB. Anyone happen to have a clutch coil laying around that could...

    squeeky hatch

oh, it's a 2000 sport. I think all classic 900 hatchbacks had a bad case of rattling. too much flex in the unibody. the hatch was also huge and heavy. Actually the whole car was noisy. You could hear the engine well too easy from the passenger compartment and the doors were under sealed from wind.

    squeeky hatch

So the trunk has been a squeeky devil now for about a year. I kinda submitted to the problem... previously owning a classic saab 900..... the hatch use to squeek like nothing else. Well the other day I realized why the hatch sometimes doesn't close. Apparenty one of the torx bolts holding the...
