Went out on my 1988 Comanche with a 2.5L/4spd.
Not sure if that matters. I know that the rear axle is a D35 though
Anyone know the replacement number I need?
Looking for the driveshaft lengths of the Cherokee.
I have a Comanche and don't have a front driveshaft. The gap measures at 26.5" from the centers of the spider journals.
I have a Hobart 140 MIG. It's a nice piece and I've been able to weld 1/2 inch steel (1/4" from one side, then from the other side)
I'm not saying it's a huge pain I just simply don't want to dick with it at all if it's not a bolt in. (for now...)
I'm not looking to break records here or anything lol
Just hoping to have a decent truck (to use like a truck) with the ability to go on mild trail rides for fun.
Currently have 31" BFG AT on Canyon wheels and they don't rub at full articulation. So I can't justify a big lift unless it just...
Sorry I should have mentioned my intentions. I have a friend with a 8.8 in His XJ and he is going to convert to a D44 now.
SO the 8.8 is cheap (with 4.10s) :)
(I was just using the D35 as an example, sorry)
Can I use an XJ axle to swap my MJ to a Spring over?
I am not talking about welding perches etc... I'm talking about using the axle out of an XJ exactly how it is... SWAPPED, not converted.?.?.?
Thanks in advance
Heck of a price for a classy modified XJ.
Probably more of a small trail rig vehicle but man I bet it's smooth and that power makes it nice to drive to work! :)
The price isn't 'bad' but in the economy people are pricing low... really low right now. So you have heavy competition. Plus a whole ton of buyer just got out of clunkers and into monthly payments.
All considerations, your XJ is clean! Worth it? Yes. Sell for it? Probably not.
Reasons:
'I'...
Threw a little PB blaster in there and turn clockwise... no problem! :)
My problem was that I kept pushing it in and turning. I thought it would lock with the button down.
