We should still go wheeling before you leave, you know - a proper send off.

    Jeep thieves!

Cherikon - Sorry to hear about your loss. I am familiar with the area you are in - it is a nice place to live. I am just north of you in Rancho Penasquitos, and this thread has me worried about my rig now. Did your jeep have an alarm system or anti-theft device on it? What time of day did they...

    Dana 30 Lockright

Was replaced by a truetrac when I had my gears done. Works great, could use a new set of springs and pins, around 20k miles on it. Easy installation, instructions can be found online. $75 plus actual shipping. I take Paypal. Josh Hayes [email protected]

    D35 to a ford 8.8

I did not bother with buying extra ebrake cables at all as the D35 cables work fine if modified properly. There is a page (somewhere) detailing the process, but it involves: Removing a few "coils" of the spring that is at the end of the cable. Trimming the 3 tabs that hold the cable to the...

    Getting gears....4.56 or 4.88????

Definitely get 4.88's. I got over 17 mpg from San Diego to Big Bear last weekend, including a 6000+ ft. change in elevation. You will run at around 3k rpm on the freeway, but you will get used to it quick. Off road and city driving is eleventybillion times better than it was with 3.55's and...

    Chrysler 8.25 Rear Axle?

Is it possible to convert a 27 spline axle to 29 spline? You would have to have the axleshafts and spider gears, but other than that...?

    Probably a dumb question....

Use a stud extractor or two nuts back to back to unscrew the studs. The bolts will fit in the studs' place. Josh

    acos

Just installed some today (ACOS, not rinkydink plumbing supplies like above). I adjusted the height three times before I was happy, but it feels good knowing that I can adjust the ride height any time I see fit. Easy install and a quality product. Josh

Protecting cut and folded quarter panels

Kejtar - Did you have to reweld the pinch seam after cutting and folding, or is it unrelated? I am cutting soon to put on some 33's I bought, and wouldnt mind just doing this at the same time. Any pics? Josh

FS: skid, roof rack, air tube etc...

Are you willing to ship the roof rack? I am in San Diego 92064. If so, what condition is it in? Any rust? Is it the type that utilizes stock crossbars or is it gutter mount? TIA Josh H
