    Steering problem, won't turn left

I figure any helpful idea is better than no ideas at all, so... I don't know the exact mechanics of the power steering system. I do know, however, how all of the power steering systems on my 240 and 740 volvos work/worked. I know that there have to be valves for the power steering to turn one...

    Sea Foam

Have you ever heard of the Seafoam "Chinese Water Torture?" It worked really well on my 3 of my cars, and not well at all on another. I'm pretty tired right now, and I don't want to explain the entire thing, but here's a link to where I got it.-->...

    probly a dumb question

Places that sell crate engines also sell them complete, ready to run with everything that they need. The "total engine" you described sounds a lot like a "turn-key engine."

    Broken water temp sender.

Thank you so much Renix! I shall check that tomorrow. Awesome. Joe:peace:

    Can anyone here...

Yes, it is a standard, but I don't dump the clutch at all. I start off from a rolling idle. There's a more than decent contact contact patch on my Michelin LTX A/Ts, and they do just fine offroad, except in mud.

    probly a dumb question

Couldn't have put it any better myself.

    Broken water temp sender.

Yes, it is the one for the gauge. I don't need a new sender, I have one sitting in the garage, waiting for my dumb @$$ to take the old one out. RenixPower, that seems like a good idea, but then where would my ECU get the readings from? I'd rather have the (computer controlled) engine running...

    Broken water temp sender.

I was doing my gauge swap on Saturday, and I got my oil pressure sender changed out just fine, but when I went to take out my water temperature sender out of the back of the head, it snapped off. The old one broke off right before the threads start, about 1mm under the top of the head, and I...

    31x11.5

Here's mine,(4" lift) if you want something for reference. 265/75/16 Michelin A/Ts (about the equivalent of a 32.5x11x16) on 16x7 Black "D Window" Cragars. They were about 75 bucks a piece from discount tire. However, you will need to trim your plastic fender liner things, and you will rub on...

Bad Fan Clutch? Sounds like a belt, but it's not.

Mine does the exact same thing you're describing, but only when I turn the A/C on. I sincerely doubt that the fan clutch is the problem. I'm thinking it's either the A/C compressor (though you already stated that yours doesn't work, so I doubt that) or the alternator due to too much load. IMO...

2000 XJ 4.0 Intermitent start problem

I'm curious as to what causes this as well. My 94 does the same thing. I was thinking maybe the coil was going bad?

    Can anyone here...

::scratches head:: I don't know why you can't smoke them. Mine will go up to redline, smoking my LT265/75/16 Michelin LTX A/Ts (about the equivalent of 32" tires), starting off from dry pavement, and if I try, I can even chirp them up to third. That's with the pretty much stock 4.0 HO, 3.07...
