Awesome! I saw those at Advance today but I opted to go with the washer-style disconnects instead because they were cheaper; what a mistake. They didn't work for crap. I wound up getting pissed and decided that since I was going to throw the accumulator away in the end, I could destroy it to...
No worries, I'm figuring this out slowly but surely. Apparently, not too many people have experience dealing with a/c accumulators, I know I didn't before this week.
the accumulator on the 99 would be the same as the one on my 97, from what i've been reading 97 is the first year of the newer accumulators. how did you get the bugger off if the QR kit didn't work?
cool, thanks. doing some more research i also saw them referred to as "round spring grommets" too. looks like a trip to harbor freight is going to be the order of the morning.
i have a 97 and my a/c compressor took a crap on me. while i'm replacing the compressor, following the advice of almost everyone i've talked to, i'm replacing the accumulator too but i'm having a helluva time getting the old accumulator off. it looks like it should just pull right off but it...
I was wondering about the oil. I got my compressor at NAPA too, along with the accumulator, and the directions are really vague, and nonexistant with the accumulator. The r134 I bought to recharge the system has 4oz of oil in it, so do I need to add more oil on top of what's in the r134 cans...
Tomorrow I'm replacing my a/c compressor and accumulator on my 97. The original developed a severe leak and wound up spewing stop-leak all over my engine bay. Not cool. Anyway, does anyone have any advice on the replacement? Pitfalls, trouble spots, things like that? Just to give the rest...
thanks a lot. that would be really helpful when you find out. i've found pictures of 98 tj interiors that have the exact same steering wheel setup as my 97 xj, so i am assuming that everything matches up.
its worth a shot. i wish jeepareus had different pics of kits but they use the same one for both. does anyone know of a place where i could look up mopar part numbers online?
i was looking on jeepsareus.com today at parts and saw that they have tj and xj cc kits for 97-98. the tj kits were 60 bucks cheaper than the xj kits. my question is will a cc kit specified for a 98 tj work in a 97 xj. the interior components are the same as far as i can see and i don't think...
this just happened yesterday...i am on my way to work and i'm at a stoplight...light turns green i give the jeep gas and it labriously accelerates through 1-2 gear..when i hit about 25-30 everything goes back to normal except now the check engine light is on...i did the on-off diagnostic check...
