    As Yossarian said, you can get new pumps (not rebuilt) from Napa.

    It was out of balance. I have a friend with a driveshaft shop, he rebalanced it for me for no charge. It fixed the problem completely. As far as shimming front axles, I highly recommend against this for safety reasons.

    OK, just talked to the guy who's doing the work. He said this is exactly what he tried. He said he was even putting his body into it, and it wouldn't come loose. The only thing I can think of that might make it work better is possibly get the engine warm before trying this. He changed the oil...

    FWIW, I like the regular lunchbox lockers (LockRight, etc.) better than the Powertrax No-Slip. On the rear the reasons are more obvious, but in the front why spend more than what a LockRight costs?

    I'll mention my 99 XJ came from the factory with the front driveshaft out of balance. It didn't show when it was stock, but after lifting it it started vibrating. I went down all the paths of SYE on rear, etc., and vibration was still there. Pulled the front shaft and it went away.

THANK YOU!!! Looks like I'll be in the garage soon. I don't suppose there's any way to get an impact...

    I'm hoping someone can help with this issue. I have a pretty major oil leak on my 99 XJ, where the 90 degree boss/adapter for the oil filter attaches to the block. A friend has tried everything he can to get the thing loose, and is afraid he is going to break something. I haven't tried working...
