My buddy could hook you up with a thicker tie rod upgrade... Probably $100 he'll take your stock ends and weld them into 5/16" wall tubing and then give you an alignment. You'd have to go to his shop in Naugatuck. Check out his site www.offroadcustomcreations.com
I did 2x4 and it tucks really nicely into the rocker, all the way to the black foot pads so you add about 3" to your rocker height. if you run with your doors off you don't really need an additional bar to bang on rocks that you might clear without it.
I was using the large.... 2.5 inch wide. Def neeed to go to the discs though. The shoes couldn't take the pressure of the cutting brakes and actually bent them. But I was putting a lot of pressure on them with the pedal and then pushing more fluid with the cutting handles.
How much of an improvement does discs make over the stock D44 drums. I just put a set of cutting brakes in to control the back brakes and the drums didn't have enough power to stop the rears from spinning in my trick front dig setup(more on that later). I tried upgrading to a 1 1/8" wheel...

The tread is all worn evenlyand would still be running them but I'm competing in the Rausch Creek class 1 and its 33" max tire size so as much as I hate to down size, Its what i have to do if I wanna compete.
