OK my heat was not working and neither was my ac. The blower was working so seeing as I just replaced my heater core and had my ac recharged I figured it was my blend door actuator. Everything on the jeep was working, engine ran great. Get the dash off and pull out the whole unit. Take it...
OK so I have a 2000 XJ 4.0 about 235,000 miles on it. It's started clicking real bad in the front near the timing cover and was taking longer to start than usual so I figured probably the timing chain. So I parked it. Pop open the timing chain cover to put the new chain on and notice the timing...
I have never even touched the suspension in any way, this thing is bone stock. Im the second owner and the little old man who owned it before me never took it off road or did anything with the suspension. So do I need a new pan? How do I fix it to keep from doing it again?
Well after cleaning the pan off I found two sizeable dents from something pretty sharp. They did not punch through but one came close. Still debating on whether I want to blow $80 on a new pan...how the hell this happened is a complete mystery to me.[/IMG]
Well I was changing my RMS cause I thought it was the cause of my oil leak but it turns out it might be my oil pan. Pulled the pan and found a place where the rim was dented/torn. My question is shoul I replace the pan or just lightly hammer the part back to form. Here are some pics of what it...
I really like that rear bumper/tire carrier you are planning on putting on there. Where can I find one like that cause I'm trying to build one and need to find out where to buy the materials.
I'm building my first winch bumper and I'm having a hard time finding the steel I had originally wanted (2x6 tubing 3/16 wall). I have found some 2x6 1/8" wall tubing and was wondering if that would work for my build? The mounting plates that will bolt to the frame will be 3/16". I'm not going...
I have a stock 2001 XJ that smokes like crazy from under the hood when I'm going up a steep climb. When it starts smoking I can see about a 20 psi spike in oil pressure. The smoke doesn't smell sweet like antifreeze but it isn't a very dark color either. Anyone know what would cause this? I...
I'm looking to save some money and give someone local some business and wondered if anyone knew of any place/person in North Ga that does a gear install cheap? I searched around but nothing came up so I decided to ask. I live in Cleveland, GA but I don't mind driving if anyone knows of a place...
