OK, the on/off switch for the Fan is a vacuum switch that also does the a/c side and the heating side.
Where does the vacuum line meet/make the change to electrical and turn the fan on?
replaced the crank sensor and she runs good now.
But I can not get the ac/heater fan to work. changed the resistor, change the fan switch, change the vacuum switch, tested the fan motor. to no avail. still don't work
any ideas on what else to do?
followed your advice, Drilled out the hinge part that goes on the door to fit a grade 8 bolt that has a smooth shaft that is long enough to go thru the hinge. Had it in my spare bolt can, LOL redneck. then once placed in place, I tack welded the bolt to the hinge that is welded to the body...
My 99 2dr hinge is worn out. open the door and it drops about 1" or more. So I took it apart Had to cut it pin in half to get it out.
now for the problem. the pin is not worn but the hinge itself is worn.
So I have about .250 sloop around the pin and the hinge that is welded to the jeep...
I have a 99 xj, and I cannot get the Blower to work. This is all the things I have done so far.
Blower is good, I put power to it and it started.
Changed the fan resistor.
replaced the fan switch on the dash with one from the salvage yard.
replaced the vacuum switch that turns the fan...
so here is some help with my questions.
#1- I will check the crank position sensor. I thought that if that went it would not start at all.
#2 -no fan on any selection
#3- will check the switch first
#4- stock radio, volume was up and down, tried am, fm, pulled radio made sure antena was...
ok, I got this 2 dr 4.0 xj for $500. A Steal right. Hmmmm Maybe after the problems are solved.
No check engine lights, but once and it went away. P1391
1st problem
it dies, drive down the road and it shut down or studders. starts back up. Runs smooth. full tank gas. battery charged...
