Ok this is gonna sound like BS..I must be the luckiest person I know today. Found ZJ brakes just down the street for $75 :D Thanks for the reality check, just saved a ton of $$$$

I have a 97 with a 8.25 4:56 Detroit locked running 35's, I hate the drum brakes. Looking at a Ford 8.8 4:56 Detroit locked with disk brakes for $1000.00. What do you guys think? Should I just put disks on the Chrysler and be done with it? Maybe do tons when I find the right axles?

I had 8" on 35's when I got mine, I lowered to 6" on the 35's......big difference, much better handling. Mostly rocks around these parts so I'll stay at 6" for the year and then we'll see.

I'd have to say the sway bar is what fixed it. :thumbup:

Update: Problem solved....raised the track bar didn't really notice any change. Played around with the castor and got that all dialed in, running at 7 degrees right now. Installed a V8 heavy duty sway bar off a Grand Cherokee and quik discos, drives like a dream now. 75 down the freeway no...
