    wheel spacers. bad idea?

Not taking the safety issues with the spacers braking, and just looking at it from a pure economical side, I would say the buying wheels makes more sense than buying spacers. ( unless you already have them or got them for free) Good spacers are expensive, and rival in price with new Cragar...

    New Project, PC XJ

I use a toshiba libretto 110 in my car and as well as in the XJ.. It is about the size of a VHS video box, and it works great for my GPS. I use a garmin III plus and the De Lorme Street Atlas USA. The size of the PCis important as it does not take a lot of space. I built a custom mount with...

    Question for Tealcherokee....

Well... I did search on the 33x12.50 and came up with what is the most popular rim in here as 15x8 and backspacing around the 4 inch area... I do not have to worry too much about punctures here in South Fla, as most of the rocks I'll see will be in beach areas not accessible for vehicles...

    cb question

Here are two links to SWR meters on ebay. The second one is the whole page, the first one is a micronta which is very versatile, will tune swr's from low watt output radios to 2000 watt output. I recommend this type as it is small and even easy to keeo connected all the time...

    SWR Meter

Calibration of SWR will not change if you take the CB in and out, just make sure that the antenna connector is soldered correctly and not loose. The snap on/ screw on connectors, though handy to assemble, will most of the time lead to worst than optimal connection at the back of the radio. Also...

    cb wiring

I second the inline fuse right next to the battery.. I run three different radios, two ham pieces, plus a ten/eleven meter (CB) all directly from the battery. If the CB is SSB and has been tuned for more power it will require a bigger than standard inline fuse. The thicker the wire the better...

    Tomken Springs......

Could anybody give me some feedback on Tomken's 4.5 inch springs, as far as rate? I am piecing together a 4.5 lift for a 93 XJ, using the aforementioned tomkens, the S-10 spring packs that I have already installed, and adding an RR outfitters adjustable trackbar. Still looking for the LCA's and...

    mileage tips

I did the swap from stock XJ injectors to 19 lbs Mustang I had for spares. It solved many problems, from leaking o-rings in the old stuff, to incorrect spray patterns. I am pretty sure that the ones I took out had been already removed and replaced before.. I found two that did not even match the...
