i finally got around to fixing this. I ran a wire from my starter to a 12 volt source and got a 3$ horn switch from autozone and now i can start the jeep fine. thanks for your help

well i hooked jumper cables to our tahoe and nothing happens when i try to start the jeep,

the battery could be dead but i've tried jumping it off and nothing happens when i turn the ignition

its a new starter it was pretty easy to install no super tight bolts or anything

96 xj 4.0 automatic 4x4

my starter went out on my 96 xj and i would have to jump start and give the starter a wack before it'd start up. Now i have changed out the starter and i cannot get the jeep to start. What is wrong here?
