I have no CEL and temperature appears to be normal. I have no engine problems. Could it be the "engine coolant temperature sensor"?

It is completely stock. I have only had this XJ for a week or so. Defrost is off also. Starting it cold the E-fan starts cycling immediately.

OK, Thanks XJosh. So now instead of a red... get a yellow? I will be getting a winch for this soon. I hope not to use the winch much. But when I do, I don't want to have any problems with power.

Wow, lots of info flying around. The battery in my XJ is going out and I'm looking at replacing it also. I was considering going with Optima. Seems like a few disgruntled and unhappy Optima owners. Sounds like a Die Hard Platinum or Duralast Gold. I was really going for the Red Top Battery. Not...

It cycles as soon as I start it cold with the A/C off. Then it continues to cycle. Can't really figure this out. Thanks for the tip, I will start a new thread.
