    2001 with I6, 130K miles on it. Sorry this is long. This started about a month ago when the jeep would hesitate and chug when accelerating hard. I got a tune up, ran some fuel injector cleaner through it, cleaned the throttle body. It ran fine for about two weeks. I started to hesitate...

    I told you it was a dumb question. I was thinking there may be a drain valve or something. But got it off and cleaned all the junk out, it was pretty nasty stuff.

    Pulled lower hose to drain radiator and flushed out with water hose But the recovery bottle is still full of nasty coolant, is there and easy way to drain this? I guess I need to pull the bottle? I told you this was a dumb noob question :o

    My advice is to dont do it You will have vibes and you will have to address them. Keep your jeep at stock level.

    :laugh2: Im glad Im not the only one as I just replaced my leaky evaporator in my 01. But Im suprised no one is talking about their coil crapping out on them because that seems to be a common problem as well

    2001 xj missfire problem

    Found this thread while searching I had the same problem in my 2001, but I dealt with it a few years ago. I heard about the fuel evaporation problem so I removed the silver heat shield on top of the engine and the problem went away.
