How do you guys feel about Grand Cherokees?

I have a '96 XJ 4.0 that had tons of rust, has a ripped out interior, and roll up windows, etc. It only has 135,000 miles I have an opportunity to get a better condition '94 Grand Cherokee Limited with a hitch, power windows, etc. etc. that has 140,000 miles. Is the Grand Cherokee a problem...

    Two different tires treads?

Hey, what are the negatives of having regular tread up front with monstread tread in the back? Looking at getting a good deal on a set, was thinking it would be fun to have the monster treads on the back around campus/town, etc. not a lot of high way driving.

How hard to replace front vent window?

Mine got punched out by some local kids who also ripped out my head unit. I just moved here, and have no tools, nor a garage. I think I am going to go to a friend's to work on it, but I want to make sure it's easy... Does it need to be sealed in there like a windshield? Or is it just a matter...

Where to add coolant after flush?

I have a lot of projects to do this weekend, but realized I was in a bad spot with my coolant. The reservior was really dirty and low, so I knew I had to take care of it. I drained the radiator plug, had a funnel in place to catch the crap, but that didn't work well. Made a mess, every where...

Rusted floor pans- possible to only do patches?

I pulled the carpet up enough to see the rust situation on the drivers side front ... Surface rust, but still very solid except a small rusted through area, which is rather small. The padding below the carpet is very wet. Is is possible to do just a patch rather then cutting out the interior...

Does the brand/type of antifreeze matter? Should I mix it evenly with water, or pour which stronger? 4.0L engine, about to be very cold

    Tuning up my XJ?

Check all the fluids--- make sure everything is in order. If fluids look old or dirty, replace.

CRAP! Exhaust is still on crossmember!

Is your hanger busted? I had this problem and had it fixed by a welding shop for $40. I've heard of people clamping it snug to the cross member with success.

    Welding noob....

I want to purchase some used equipment, with a budget of around $500. My first project is to repair the floor on my Jeep. I see lots of used Lincoln arc welders for really cheap... they are small and look pretty junky. Should I focus on trying to find some stick welder? Ideally, I'd like to...
