    I'm getting 4.7V out of the signal wire (unplugged) as well. Did you find what was causing it? My Clockspring is unplugged from everything except for the horn, it is wired to a button placed at the side of the steering wheel. No matter how many times I replace the TPS, they keep eventually failing.

    Removing the horn fuse don't make any difference. Only turns off the horn. there is a way to determine if the horn circuit is in short?

    3rd one. Diferent brands, but same results. They start fine but in les than a week they start failing. Current one is Standart, and is still working with the idle issues.

    I haven't check if theres a vacumm leak. But it dosen't sound like it has. 1 of the TB Bolts is adapted. Could it be that?

    99 Cherokee XJ randomly cuts power not getting code

    I was having a similar problem with my 98 XJ, it was just randomly dying no matter what I did. Turns out it was the ignition coil wiring. The conector was worn out. Replace both the coil and conector. Problem solved. Check those wires before changing other sensors just to be sure they're ok.
