Cover everything in pam or spatter spray, then cover what you can in tinfoil. Or, get a mini-spool. :D

Assuming cheap poly stops: flex until the fender is about to kiss tire. Measure distance between the stop pad and the mount. Add min. 1/2" for smoosh. If running something fancier, you'd need to determine how much the stop smooshes and add that to your measurement.

This is by far the easiest way to cure the problem. Otherwise, I ran the ZJ setup on my locked/33s XJ for years, including through the Rubicon. Switched to an OTK setup to help roll center (raising/leveling the track bar) and overall axle swing because I was running a long travel setup, but...

Running 37s on an XJ? It's actually really good for this. There's a build thread here: http://tinyurl.com/yreyyhb2 Seems to be working well for him. Best axle? Nope, but you get locking hubs, beefy R&P (not D60, but better than D44), brakes, tubes, same clearance (after shaving)...

If no vibration, then you end up with almost zero caster on a stock D30. So, it's either this, or cut/turn, to get it back. Once you've driven a car with over 5* of caster both on the street, and at speed offroad, you won't want to go back. That rock-solid "Autobahn" feeling German cars all...

They fit either. No clue if the lengths are the same, but you can install a TJ bumpstop in an XJ and vice-versa.

Roll center will raise, which is good on an XJ. Only half an inch though... Other than that, the bushings will bind quicker (depending on orientation) since the angle will increase, but over a typical 30"+ track bar, meh. :D

I need to make a thread on it. Came up with a decent belt routing that magically uses the stock belt length, removes the fan clutch, and has good wrap on all pulleys.

In addition, forcing the Jeep to maintain higher RPM by downshifting seems to yield little in cooling "gains" since the 4.0 seems to just make heat instead of horsepower at high RPM. :D

Never saw this thread when it was new. Epic data. Curious how the larger fan options (Taurus/Volvo 2 speed fan for example) stack up. Also curious what the airflow looks like at higher temperatures, as I don't think there's a lockup mechanism, so the hotter it gets, the more the goo in the...

I've been using Dash Command for a while now on my iPhone. Works very well. Had to replace the dongle recently, this is what I used...

Mine? SFR and Brown Dog mounts. Based on the rattling interior panels at idle, I'd say fine. :D Skid plate is close for max clearance is all. Shimmed the mounts up a little to clear the skid.
