Running 37s on an XJ? It's actually really good for this. There's a build thread here: http://tinyurl.com/yreyyhb2 Seems to be working well for him. Best axle? Nope, but you get locking hubs, beefy R&P (not D60, but better than D44), brakes, tubes, same clearance (after shaving)...

    Best upgrades you've done?

If no vibration, then you end up with almost zero caster on a stock D30. So, it's either this, or cut/turn, to get it back. Once you've driven a car with over 5* of caster both on the street, and at speed offroad, you won't want to go back. That rock-solid "Autobahn" feeling German cars all...

Are XJ and TJ Front Bump Stops the Same?

They fit either. No clue if the lengths are the same, but you can install a TJ bumpstop in an XJ and vice-versa.

    Raise the trac bar

Roll center will raise, which is good on an XJ. Only half an inch though... Other than that, the bushings will bind quicker (depending on orientation) since the angle will increase, but over a typical 30"+ track bar, meh. :D

Actual Measurements of Airflow for Triple Electric Fan Setup

Forgot I had most of these pics uploaded to another forum: https://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index.php?/forums/topic/4231-rockwoods-xj/

Actual Measurements of Airflow for Triple Electric Fan Setup

I need to make a thread on it. Came up with a decent belt routing that magically uses the stock belt length, removes the fan clutch, and has good wrap on all pulleys.

Actual Measurements of Airflow for Triple Electric Fan Setup

In addition, forcing the Jeep to maintain higher RPM by downshifting seems to yield little in cooling "gains" since the 4.0 seems to just make heat instead of horsepower at high RPM. :D

Actual Measurements of Airflow for Triple Electric Fan Setup

Never saw this thread when it was new. Epic data. Curious how the larger fan options (Taurus/Volvo 2 speed fan for example) stack up. Also curious what the airflow looks like at higher temperatures, as I don't think there's a lockup mechanism, so the hotter it gets, the more the goo in the...

    Humming noise after SYE

Mine? SFR and Brown Dog mounts. Based on the rattling interior panels at idle, I'd say fine. :D Skid plate is close for max clearance is all. Shimmed the mounts up a little to clear the skid.

    Humming noise after SYE

Yeah, that's why I said I'd check for something rubbing on the passenger side of the drivetrain since that's the way the motor tilts under load. Decel (my problem) is the driver's side.

Post Engine Replacement Problem Goose Hunt

I had an issue with the giant connector near the trans dipstick having a loose connection. Cleaned, straightened (bent out to make more solid contact) the pins, added a zip-tie around the connectors to hold them together better and secured in a spot where it wasn't tight as a guitar string...

    Humming noise after SYE

Ah, yeah. Perfect. I had a rumble noise from my transfer case resting on my skid plate, went away under throttle, came back coasting. Could be something on the passenger side of the engine/exhaust contacting something else.
