lift is not a factor in flex, it is more so control arms and brake line length as well as shock length... with the proper setup a long arm jeep with little lift can flex amazing... and flex doesnt mean everything either... you will see... I see you are in Colorado... I think EricsXJ is there...
look at the pics I posted there is one with bushwackers on 5.5" or 5" i forget which
OH and you have to trim and bumpstop no matter what you do if you are putting those tires on even if you put on 32s you will have to trim and bumpstop.... I dunno who told you otherwise
x2 I would 5.5 or even 4.5 bumpstopped and trimmed... anything higher is TOO HIGH
are some examples
4.5" 35s
4.5" 33s
5" i think 37s
5.5" 35s
and finally mine
4.5" 33s
This is what I was thinking, I want to see it in action though....
I was thinking Megasquirt would be an awesome setup for this thing, its not my jeep though so not my decision... I have seen megasquirt used on different vehicles with awesome results though.
there isnt really any lag in this system, but for offroading it doesnt really make sense imho... His gas mileage alone is worth the mod though. he got a couple mpg on the highway I believe.
For some reason I keep picturing the jeep against a rock and trying to bump it up and over and the thing...
Ya if he wants a "street" jeep
Max boost of any available blower kit is 8.5psi... thats all they reccomend. I dont think it will handle more unless you change the headgasket at the very least
Back problems for other reasons... but he is doing alright.
The thing is nicely built and nice clean fab work done as well.
The first pic is a video just click on it.
I trimmed for 33s on a 4.5" lift just like that white XJ and then let the tires clearance/fold up the rest of the lip so it cleared, then I bumpstopped a tiny bit more.
