Dutifully did a search but everyone's got tilt.
Got broken into and the would-be thieves chipped all the plastic away from around the turn signal stalk. I'd like to replace or repair this but the plastic seems to be "one" with the column. I've got the steering wheel off and I've looked...
Mine are like that too and my front brakes were just done...I'd say it's pretty normal (unless my guy messed up). It's not like a bicycle brake set up by any means (same mechanical idea tho).
Cheers,

I didn't look extensively on the 'Net but just wondering if anyone had a tip on how to install the front corner window. Someone try to steal the Jeep last night and they smashed it (thought it was an older one I guess cuz they tried to pry it open...got brains?). Smashed up the steering column...
yeah...so I learned the hard way that rear bumpers and front bumpers don't exchange...@#&!**@!
Sticker says front bumper but I got a hunch and looked around back. Sure enough, the bumper end holes were the first tell-tale sign that I have a rear bumper...all then the other holes match the...
Hey,
Thanks for the detail guys.
Getting frustrated tho. I (supposedly) have the correct brand new brackets and the correct brand new bumper. Guess what? They don't match together. All the stickers say for 84-96 XJ; however, when I line up the bracket with the top bumper hole, the bottom...
My '94 had a homebuilt tube bumper but I bought a stock front bumper and want to install that instead. I thought I had the right brackets (took them off the homebuilt bumper) but I can't figure out how they attach to the stock bumper. The ones I have do look like this though...
Disassembly probably needed no matter what so will look at replacing the clutch if there's not a lot of friction material left. Good to know that I may not have to though. FWIW, the leak has gone away today and I'm thinking it's due to no highway-driving/hot weather combo. Valve cover does...
I was going to say too - you'll have to play with the fluid to bleed off enough pressure. There might be an easier solution but I don't know it...
Cheers,

My '94 5-speed experienced a clutch slip in third and fourth gear when I was heading out camping with the family earlier this week. It wasn't leaking before but I noticed a very small leak dripping from the front of the transmission (bellhousing, just where it joins the motor) when we got back...
Well, I figured it out. I had a bad connector. The temp sender for a 96 worked. I jumpered from the top of the connector (the wire end) to the temp sender and I got a reading in the temp gauge. Turns out that in pulling the connector off when making the switch from the dummy light, I had...
No EGR, yes...but I would still check the hoses coming off the valve cover to make sure they're clear and free-flowing. Also, I'm just shooting in the dark but does the 4.0 have an oxygen sensor that can wear out and cause these problems? I know a bad one on a Nissan I owned really made the...
This is a good thread - a vindication for me. One of the reasons why I bought this thing (94 2-door 5-speed 4.0) was to tow a small autocross or rally car on a dolly around Western Canada (around a 2000 lbs load) and also to tow my wife's horse short distances (again around 2000 lbs w trailer)...
This is how I'm treating it....another project...when there's a will there's a way!
I'm going to keep the 96 cluster and try one of two things...1) get a coolant sensor and use brass adaptors to fit it into the the temp sender hole near the firewall and hook it up or 2) get a cheap...
