Dave my truck only has 28" tires so 5th gear works fine for me Lol. And spec fab I think i take it. Let me talk to my parents and I'll see about either having my cousin pick it up this week sometime or maybe I can swing by this weekend?

    wtb: 4wd ax5

I got a little excited when I got my new engine running and ran it for around 30 minutes with no oil in the trans. It was just a little noisy for a bit, but then some of the bearings just gave up and it's awful now. I still have my ax4 but I shortened the drive shaft so I would need to make a...

    wtb: 4wd ax5

I managed to almost destroy the ax5 I just swapped into my Comanche so I am in the market for a new one! As long as it isnt super noisy and stays in gear most of the time I will probably take it.

    ISO: 89 2.5 for a comanche

I started the work on my Comanche today to fix my blown head gasket only to discover that the block is also cracked pretty good. I am basically looking for just the block if anybody has one floating around, but for the right price I might take a whole engine. I would prefer to stay with the 2.5...

    Wanted: Cheap truck

Hey guy's I need a truck for going to the dump and making a yearly trip out of town to buy bark dust. Doesn't need to be nice as long as it runs and drives. Looking for something smaller but might consider something f150 sized. Dad has a Comanche that he is currently using for this but I want...

    Finally got an Xj again!

I've done a lot of thinking lately and I decided I'm gonna move forward with an idea I had a long time ago to swap the engine, trans, and axles from this jeep over to my 2wd 1989 Comanche sportruck. It's in decent chair minus a messed up front clip. I just feel I would like the Comanche more...

    Finally got an Xj again!

Thanks for the links, but those are a bit rich for my blood. I am leaning toward a pair of 60's right now. Also the broken shaft took out a bit more than i thought. Gotta tear down the axle tomorrow and check it out.

    Finally got an Xj again!

Had one heck of a time yesterday, and not one rig made it home in one piece. Whether it was my jeep breaking an axle shaft, my cousin Toyota losing breaks, or my friends Toyota catching on fire, having the hood fly open going down the highway or it spewing oil into the cab... Got in a few good...

    Finally got an Xj again!

Yeah the 35 break lines were a direct swap. Before you put the axle on the truck make sure you break loose the bleeders and clean them out. saves a big headache if they are froze. we disconnected it right here, where one of the PO's made a cute little bracket to lower the line.

    Finally got an Xj again!

So yesterday was a very long and busy day for me. I put some fuel in the jeep and the gauge did this. I think something might be stuck... Drove the jeep over to Longview/Kelso to the shop that my uncle and cousin work on a race truck in (Worlds fastest modified diesel truck, 16 cylinder...

    Finally got an Xj again!

Yeah it was a bit overfull and was Lucas oil. I am moving on from this rear end. I will fully disclose whats wrong with it or what i think is wrong with it when i sell it. No More people are getting screwed by this jeep. I ordered the spring perches and new ubolts for the 8.8 yesterday. Now i...
