    What are you towing with?

We're running the OEM Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza (P285/45R22) because that's what was on the Yukon when we bought it. No complaints, but I'll probably bite the bullet and put Michelins on it when the time comes. They've always treated me right, and seem to last forever.

Thank you. We just love the area, and generally go back every other Summer. This was our first time to visit during the fall. I love the summer wildflowers and all, but to me the fall is better out there. Way better. Fewer people, cooler temperatures and when the color finally comes in…...

VANCO Big Brakes and U Turn steering

I suspect you'll love the VANCO kit for years to come, Skruffy. I installed it on our '98 XJ in 2013, and still love it as much today as I did then. It makes a huge difference in braking with 35" tires, and has been flawlessly reliable. It's an investment to be sure, but it's been one of the...

    What are you towing with?

We just completed the maiden towing voyage of our latest tow rig: a 2018 Yukon Denali. We traveled from N. Texas to SW Colorado towing our XJ on an all-metal trailer. While I've never bothered to weigh it, I'm guessing the loaded trailer weights round 6,000 - 6,500 lbs. According to the trip...

    Scenic Wheeling Picture Thread

A fall visit to the San Juans We just returned from the Ouray/Silverton area (Southwest Colorado) and it was a GREAT trip. We were probably a week or two early for peak color and the smoke from all the wildfires kept things a bit hazy, but it was beautiful nonetheless. As always, the pics...

    RRC roll call/who's who thread

I'm Rick Paid member for many years... Live in Grapevine Work in Haltom City I haven't posted much, and really haven't even been lurking around here much lately. But we got the XJ off-road again this summer for the first time in a while. It was a great trip and as always, got me thinking...

Wheeling and Camping around the Clayton and K Trail OK/AR

Thanks for posting. Just seeing the names "Clayton" and "K-Trail" brought back some very fond memories. Many moons ago, I spent more weekends than I could count 'wheeling the area around Clayton. It was great fun. I don't think I ever took K-Trail east of the old turn-off for the Bus Line...

Colorado Trip Pics - Summer 2017

Thanks. But the photos don't begin to do it justice, of course. All of the Rocky Mountains are beautiful, to be sure. But there's something special about the San Juans around Ouray. A visit to the area is highly recommended!

Colorado Trip Pics - Summer 2017

We had another great trip to the San Juan Mountains around Ouray this year. No matter how many times we visit, it NEVER gets old. As always, we weren't ready to come home. I miss it already... Still snow on top, even in August. Last Dollar Road: Me and my youngest on top of...
