Yeah, I was thinking that real hard, but it was getting dark, so I didn't bother. If I can figure out how to seperate the glass from the power window mechanism, I can remove the whole assemble and really troubleshoot the thing. I just can't figure out how the glass attaches.
So after accidentally stepping on my rear window and pushing it down about 3 inches, it won't go all the way up. I've got an inch gap at the top. The window just stops. The window travels up and down fine, until that point. I pulled the door panel and the tracks look fine. The weird pipe cleaner...

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a try. It has been a while since I have greased the joints. It doesn't appear as though there is any dirt build up, but I'll recheck and se if I can lube it up any. Thanks for the help.
I have a '96XJ and it sounded like a front bearing was going. I jacked the front up end up and proceeded to spin the front wheels. The bearings seem fine but I noticed that when I spin either wheel, the front driveshaft also turns. Is this right??
Also, the transfer case is hot from driving...
