    Drilling 1/4"

You want to have a slow rpm and just enough pressure to make one continuous curl and use plenty of cutting fluid... and as FarmerMatt said with a little practice your bench grinder is the perfect drill doctor.

    Lung protction while metalworking?

hey, at my shop we use a 3m mask that is designed to filter out particulate as well as metal fumes. Cant remember the model number but we just talked with the sales rep at the BOC dealer (our welding supplier)

    Axle Flange Welding

Anyone know the easiest way to remove that plastic vent barb, I'd like to change it to a steel fitting. Is it just pressed in? Im thinking of trying to use a screw to extract it though a washer and socket to pull it out.

    Axle Flange Welding

Hey, I am talking about the flange on the axle housing itself. Where the studs come to bolt the retaning plate to the housing. I want to change the housing so I dont need any spacers other than the one provided by the new TJ plate. hope this clears things up.

    Axle Flange Welding

Thanks guys that pretty much gave me all the info I needed. I believe that the top 2 holes will overlap, I'm still waiting on the horribly overpriced parts to arrive at the dealership to check the patterns to know for certain. Heres my old...

XJ D-44 axle flange welding Q's?

Alright so this is my revised shopping list '95 to '98 Grand Cherokee's (ZJ) Dana 35 disc brakes, flex lines and proportioning valve 2003 TJ Rubicon retaining plate Anyone got an answer as to weld or not? I'd like to redrill and replace the old studs with new ones (i think the rubys would work)

XJ D-44 axle flange welding Q's?

I've done quite a bit of searching on the subject of doing a disc brake conversion on my newly found XJ D44 out of a 87. What I'd like to do is use ZJ brake parts a TJ retaining plate and weld up and redrill the new bolting pattern into the axle flange. I dont really like the egg out the old...
