Sounds like he built it for looks, not function, but it also sounds like you've got a good handle on how to remedy that.
I'd just say it sounds a bit pricey. I don't think I'd want to pay more thank 5k for that XJ, but prices may be different around you.

If you ever want to run aired down you really risk popping a bead with wheels that wide. 33x12.5 tires run really well on 15x8 rims. a 15x10 is pushing it even.
I run 33x12.5 r15 Goodyear MTRs on my Toyota. I love them. They are fantastic trail and mild rock tires, and yet have a very very nice ride on road. Additionally, the Goodyear MTRs have very good snow traction, which I've found most mud terrain tires don't have.

Hey now Nissans and Yotas are both way better trucks than Fords.
And yes, the 2wd F250 uses a twin traction beam front setup with coil springs. They probably would provide a lot more lift than the F150 springs if they fit, but would defintely be way stiff in an XJ.
You could run a copper head if you wanted too, it would probably work very well, though the valve seats would probably wear prematurely. Copper is a pretty strong metal, especially in certain alloys, though it is certainly a bit softer than Al. Copper is expensive though. Very Very expensive...
See that sounds good, though I'm perfectly cabable of procuring the individual components and soldering them to the board, it's certainly not a big deal to me, and I'd defintely spring the extra 16 bucks to get it preassembled, I'll want to make my own box and controls for it though.
So yeah...
I'd definitely buy a PCB if you get them printed, I could put the compenents on it myself, if that was more difficult for you to do, but wouldn't complain if it came preassembled either ;). I was considering doing something similar all on a test board, but would really prefer a PCB.
So what's...
xxxpedition was covered in detail by peterson's. The cooler in the hood is indeed like plumbed like an aux cooler, since the truck was built to be a desert truck. The additional fan and radiator area help most when runing accessories while stopped.

Ok guys, stock knocking the crap out of this guy, he's just playing with a free truck, he doesn't claim that the current state is finished, or safe. Personally I kinda like rat rides. I certainly think this one has a long way to go before being ready, but it's just that.
IT'S NOT READY YET...
Yeah, absolutely don't buy junk yard springs for 100. That's just outrageously priced, I've always paid around 20 bucks a side for junk yard packs. Besides, if you're swapping both out, and not just trying to match what's in there, new packs really don't cost that much. I've also had local...
