We had a good turnout for the last session. 19 people walked away with passing the tech exam. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ham-cram-amateur-radio-study-and-amateur-radio-license-examination-session-tickets-39024149281?aff=erelexpmlt

    Get your ham license!

Hopefully some others will chime in with their answers. I usually run both, but the advantages of a 2 meter rig so outweighs the CB/GMRS radios. Clarity (sound quality), smaller antenna, more power (longer distances), option to use repeaters. Yes, it does require a test, which the ham cram...

    Parting out 94 XJ

I have not heard back from Scott. The scrapper pushed up the time to Wed AM. I can try to pull the steering column and wiper motor in the morning. Any tips would be great.

    Parting out 94 XJ

Wife rolled the 94 XJ. If anyone wants anything off of it let me know before I call the scrap guy this week. Engine 4.0 - ran even after the roll. It was high mileage but would be great core. Make offer. Already pulled. NP203 - Worked great before the roll. Make offer. Still connected...

    Pinion numbers?

Refer to the pic. Left is old. 157 is the set match number. Right is New. 188 is matching number. How to decipher starting pinion shims. Old looks like 1-7. New looks like 4.311. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dana 30 pattern help

The issue ended up being the oil baffel was too thick - by changing it to a shim half it's thickness I got the above pattern to run. Tomorrow I'll go get a thinner oil slinger less the difference of the oil baffel/shim and that should be it. I want to thank everyone who responded to help.

    Dana 30 pattern help

Thanks for the reply. I'm not ruling it out taking it to someone, I realize that I'm not an expert, but I thought I would give it a shot and learn. I'll have to find some pinion shims as my kit only came with preload shims. I'll need to get a thinner oil slinger and shims. Is it suggested I...

    Dana 30 pattern help

I took everything and put it on the ring side but it still seems too deep. I confirmed that the carrier break is correct. However I am using a carrier from a low pinion in a high pinion. I did not see any differences from carrier with that respective. I'm at a loss. Thanks for replies...
