Okay guys I got this fixed the other day and wanted to update. When I tested the blue/white wire out of the big loom, it had a solid 12.4 volts with the ignition in the RUN position. Pretty interesting. But when I ran a jumper wire direct from the battery to pin 86, it worked perfectly. I then...
Update: PCM isn't turning on the E-fan either. Could this be caused by weak voltage in the blue/white wire ST-RUN source in the big loom? I saw some replies referencing the one in the smaller loom correcting their problem. I'll check things out with the multimeter later and hope to get to the...
fyrfyt: first of all thanks a ton for this writeup. I've been studying it and learning a lot. Last night I put my relay in (NAPA Bosch-type 5 pin) and simple toggle to my dash. I haven't tested to see if the PCM will turn on the fan at 218 with the switch OFF yet, but the fan does not come on...
I know this thread is somewhat old, but I just wanted to point out that I'm pretty sure that's a ZJ skid plate. I just installed mine this past weekend, had to drill new holes for it to line up. I also have a Detours bumper that has the same inserts as you. I wish I would've thought to weld them...

Thanks much for the reply and pic. That looks much simpler than the BSFab link. I do not have a welder or a good grinder to be able to weld washers and grind them down and what not....so my question for you is, did you have to do anything special? how did you go about lengthening the shift...
Greetings all,
I am fairly new to the XJ world and have been an avid poster over at Cherokee Forums but decided its time to join the almighty NAXJA...and I've spent hours searching high and low and can't find a SINGLE picture of an XJ that is running Novak's shifter set up here...
