    milemarker/speedo calibration [windbag edition]

    just got my 33's [up from 30's] on the ol stock height xj [the fenders went anorexic] and today was trying to get a rough idea of how far out the speedo is now... so i went 20 miles down the highway and marked the odo with each milemarker and it came out like this MM ODO 164...

    Offset balljoints?

    so what your saying is that my axle is bent ? btw the bearings are fine. or do you think offset bjoints are just how some shops can try to extract that extra thousand dollars? i took my jeep in with 'brand new' bjoints that i'd installed myself and they said cambers off 'on that side'.....

    Making bumpers... is my welder strong enough?

    miller 135 110volt mig welder for anything and everything (car related at least) you could also consider using your stick welder for the 1/4" - 11ga and the mig on the rest, or maybe just grinding slight angles at your joints and doing realllly slow and hot root welds and then maybe covering...

    finally finished my build

    the welds look strong enough, but they just need that finishing touch- the grinder! grind em flat, paint em with some hammered finish rustoleum and you won't even know they were welded at all:D nice work man, and that $350xj looks like a steal! sorry, bad joke....
