    would this not be true in forward as well,now its doing on flat ground in Rev only. Checked tranny 1 pint low,did compete tune-up 3mos ago,is there any wires around tranny that can be interfeard with when shifted into Rev. I'm disabled & its hard for me to crawl around under it!

    It goes by many names I guess, I guess I would call it a manifold air temp sender or sensor,not the IAC,I check it & cleaned it.

    I've got it to,90,4L,cold starts good idles fine unill warm & then it creeps up to 15/2000rpm,fixed vac leaks,TBS & IAC are clean & per specs,replaced ECU{to gauge} I was wondering about the intake air temp sensor, does that have a big impact on the high idle?

    Okay,thats the way it was abc-ped,so the only thing I haven't checked is the IAT sensor,does that have a big part in the idle? & is the resitience check{ohms} that accurate?

    I pulled the IAC,looked like a good seal contact 360 on the pintle,cleaned soot,nothing serious,light oil,checked TPS volts in spec,& found that the connector from the ECU had the letters ABC up & the conn.from the TPS had the letters PED up, so I reversed the TPS to mate ABC TO ABC but it did...

    I've been working on a high idle problem,going from 600rpm cold start,when starts warming up creeps to 1200/1500rpm, I found the same thing with my tps conn. abc from ecu & ped from tps,so I turned the one from the tps over to match but it did not to accept norm'l,sould I force it together?to match?

    I found a maj vacuum leak,fixed it, & it seemed alright for awhile and it started going back to norm to high idle & back,so sprayed the TB & cleaned the black sooty stuff,making sure to spray the IAC port. Started it this AM for moca run,idle fine for 5-6mins & then went to 2000rpm & stayed...

    I just started having the same problem,idles @ 1700rpm,sometimes I will let it idle for about 10mins & it drops down slowly & might go back up when you drive it, some times so high you have to shift into neut'l @ stops.     Acetone will increase gas mileage?!?!?

    Re: Acetone will increase MPG?!?! I dought that you can buy acetone for 3.00 a gal.? I use it,primarily for cleaning my Injectors,but it helps every thing else as well. I use 4ozs of acetone to a fill-up{20g} about every third tank. compare this to using say LUCAS Injector cleaner for 9-$10.00...
