What year model was the Jeep with the dash view, tan interior, Auto, 2WD. It looks like a newer model than 85. I don't think the console will work as it is setup for 2WD & Auto. I don't think I could even rig my inserts up in it & make it work, but if anyone can enlighten me please do.
I want one, but you are right. Shipping is the killer. Thus far everything I have located has had a ridiculous price for shipping & I am no were near Ft. Campbell. I sure do wish I was for this anyway. Thus far I haven't found anything reasonable on the shipping, so unless I do the tailgate is...
OK, Give me a break! I know what you are saying. I used to specify Tan & indeed have some tan parts in the Jeep now. However, I discovered that the Tan is a slightly more Brown color, perhaps more Red in it than what I had originally so I figured it must be Beige which is a lighter & as you...
Dan,
Did you ever find what you were looking for?
If you did & have any left over parts I am looking in particular for an A/C selector switch in excellent & working condition to fit an 85. Biege console to fit same with stick shift & 4WD (command Track), tailgate, vacuum assembly to fit 2.5 ltr...
What color & condition is the center console? I need one to fit am 85 with 4WD(command track), Stck shift.
Also looking for A/C selector switch for 85 in excellent condiiton & working. tailgate with glass & wiper motor. Vacuum assembly (2.5 ltr 4)
Whoa!!!
I am looking for a working A/C selector switch in excellent condition to fit an 85 XJ, 2.5 ltr, 4WD, Stick (5spd).
Also looking for a biege center console in excellent condition to fit same specs, vacuum assembly, tailgate, front driver seatbelt or all front, maybe more.
Jed,
Where you able to get any more info on that switch? Do you you have any other parts you are partig with on that Jeep? May be looking for good seet belts for front, Biege center console (4WD command track, Stick shift, biege/Tan color), Tailgate with glass & wiper moter (mine has a minor...
Jed, I don't know. The last time I bought one was from a dealer years ago & it was about $25.00 then. Now you can get a new one, but for a later model which is slightly different for about the same as I understand it (the newer model has a different wiring setup). Was yours working before it...
I wonder if the relay could actually be the problem with my fan not blowing at all??? See the A/C selector switch post. I was told the problem was the complete selector switch when it would not blow at all (but fan worked fine when jump tested). Am I correct in reading this out?
If I end up having to manufacture this thing out of wood or something I will try do build a real nice one that is durable, secure, & has cupholders & provide some plans or drawings regarding the succesful end product. I know it will be a challenge thought. Not sure how much difference if any...
My stock center console gave out years ago. I have had no luck locating a center console that matches my original (Tan/Beige color, Stick shift, 4WD lever, HVAC ducts) & is in good condition. Tuffy still does not make one to my knowledge either to match the OEM console. Has anyone ever tried...
Bdiddy, I have kind of wondered the same thing myself. See my previous thought & post in Non Tech section about perhaps mfring a high quality console out of wood & perhaps some fabric (leather) work. I will find my post & repeat it here in a bit. It is my understanding that the Grand console...
Is it possible to pull & repair the selector itself, make it good anotherwords without actually replacing it. Mine is in extremely good condition, but apparently it no longer works. They do not appear that complicated. However, finding a replacement has been difficult as only the 85 & some 86's...
Boatwrench, Yes I agree. I think the motor is good & so is the current switch. However, as I noted earlier it is my unexperienced opinion in this matter that the module that was last replaced is probably one for non intermittent type wipers vs the intermittent type that that the monkeys blew...
