I'll consider those when the time comes to replace them. I don't do any wheeling at this point so we'll see how they hold up. Thanks!

    Exhaust manifold recommendations

I was going to change mine during the process but decided to leave them. I bought a set of Anchor motor mounts and honestly, brand new, they looked worse than the ones that are on the vehicle. Mine have no cracking in the rubber, no rust and appear to be much better built than the Anchor's...

Since it appears they all crack from the low priced ATP to the high priced Banks, I'm going to see if my local guy can weld it. He looked at it and said he could do with proper cleaning, heating, rod selection and cooling. I figure I have nothing to lose at this point.

Do we know that the various brands of Chinese made manifolds(the bellows type), Omix, Dorman, ATP, etc. are made differently? Or is it one manufacturer making them for all the brands. Which would mean it really won't matter whether you buy a Dorman, ATP or Omix.

I just cancelled it. You guys and the guy on Amazon saying the number three tube was smashed to make room was enough to make me nervous. I'm not sure what I will do. I may take mine to a local professional welder and see if he could fix my cracked OE one. This sucks.

Well, I guess I'll find out. I'll check it out good when I get it but the last two looked okay. If anything has me give up on rebuilding my XJ it will be the lack of quality parts availability.

I think you will be okay with ATP. The two now I have had look good. Welds look good and nothing to clean up. Unfortunately Rock Auto keeps sending me the wrong ones. ATP has mis-boxed a group I guess. I order 101330 twice and received 101212 which won't fit. I decided to try Amazon...

I'm not sure why I posted that. I considered SS, but at my local hardware, the guy informed me that the SS bolts were softer than the OE ones. I bought identical bolts to the OE, except they were not rusty.

Can't edit here so I found the cone washers. I'll clean mine up, lol. Another question though: Is the gasket that comes with these manifolds good enough to use? Or should I buy a Fel-Pro?

I'm not interested in this but does anyone know where I could pick up OEM "washers"? I bought new bolts, but if I could find the cone washers I'd replace them vs trying to clean them up.

For what is it worth, the ATP101212 would not work in my '99. The intake manifold contacts the number 6 tube. I suppose I could have ground the intake to provide the necessary clearance but I'm trying to keep my as close to factory as reasonable. I sent it back and am waiting for PN101330...

    Exhaust down pipe

Do the 99's have an O2 sensor in that pipe? I haven't looked at my Jeep but looking at the '99 FSM, it doesn't show one.

Power Door Locks only work with key out of ignition

I'm in the process of returning my XJ to as close to factory configuration as I can so I want to keep the board since it came with it from the factory and is listed on the build sheet. To test and program a fob, what would that cost? If I could get a couple (or even one) OEM fob and have it...

Power Door Locks only work with key out of ignition

Thanks all for the help and responses. It was as simple as closing the drivers door. Everything works as it should. Next up will be adding a remote unlock kit. I have the transmitter but no fobs and I hear you are better off going aftermarket in this case. Looks pretty simple to install and...

Power Door Locks only work with key out of ignition

I read that this morning also. I wonder if it is that simple? I'll close the door tonight when I get home and see if that works. I assume it's actuated by the button that turns the interior lights on and off?
